Chilton Precision Inc. was founded on April 1st, 1987.  Bob, Steve and Mike Chilton left their positions at  Accurate Mould and Jig Boring Services, in Rexdale, to forge out on their own. The first shop was set up in Mississauga.    After a year, they realized it would be just as easy to get to most of their customers from the Kawartha Lakes region as from Mississauga.  They moved to Peterborough in 1988 where they have continued to thrive. In 1998 Chilton Precision Inc. was named Peterborough's Entrepreneur Of The Year.
